Emily’s Magnets of Love raises funds for pediatric cancer research

Emily Candal is a fourth grader from Cheshire.  While experimenting with her father’s business cards, she developed an idea to create colorful and meaningful magnets to spearhead a fundraising effort for children with cancer.   Her magnets were offered as gifts for donations during a holiday craft fair and her efforts were rewarded.  Emily and her parents recently visited Yale Cancer Center and presented the staff with the proceeds of her artistic creations.  Emily’s gift will go towards pediatric cancer research at Yale Cancer Center.
