Proceeds from Golf Tournament for Pancreatic Cancer Research

For ten years, St. Therese Parish of North Haven has sponsored a golf tournament, raising funds for the church’s many charitable uses.  Proceeds from the September 2009 event were dedicated to Ann Florio, a long-time teacher in the New Haven area, who died in 2007 of pancreatic cancer.  Recently, Reverend Timothy A. Meehan and Deacon Louis J. Florio presented the church’s contribution to Yale Cancer Center, to be used for pancreatic cancer research.
