Cancer Lectures at the Shoreline Medical Center

New Haven, Conn. - Yale Cancer Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital present the Shoreline Medical Center Cancer Education Series for patients and their families living with cancer. October's lectures include Obesity and Cancer on Thursday, October 6, 2005 and The Early Detection of Ovarian Cancer on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. Both programs will be held at the Yale-New Haven Shoreline Medical Center at 111 Goose Lane, Guilford. A light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m.; the lecture will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.

Beth Jones, PhD, Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health will present on the relationship between obesity and cancer on October 6th. Thomas Rutherford, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, will discuss new advances in the early detection of ovarian cancer and treatment options available to patients on October 18th.
