Understanding Cancer: A Focus on Complementary Therapy

New Haven, Conn. - Yale-New Haven Hospital and Yale Cancer Center will present a free health talk, entitled, “A Focus on Complementary Therapies” on Wednesday, February 7th in Yale-New Haven Hospital's East Pavilion cafeteria.

The lecture is part of the ongoing Understanding Cancer Lecture Series for patients and families living with cancer. A light supper will be served at 6:00 p.m., the lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. 

Mary Crooks, MSW, LCSW and Chris Gaynor, MA will review the benefits of complementary therapies for patients with cancer.  Ms. Crooks will then present a session on guided imagery, which will be followed by a lesson in chair yoga led by Ms. Gaynor.
