Breast Cancer 2007: What’s New?

New Haven, Conn. - Sponsored by Yale Cancer Center and Yale-New Haven Hospital, Y-ME of Connecticut will present their 18th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium on Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. – noon in the Anlyan Center Auditorium at Yale School of Medicine. The symposium, titled, Breast Cancer 2007: What’s New?, will provide current information on breast cancer risk, detection, and treatments.
The symposium will feature presentations on New Advances in Breast Cancer Treatment, as well as Special Issues Facing Breast Cancer Patients. Following the presentations by Dr. Maysa Abu-Khalaf, Dr. Dalliah Black, Dr. Gina Chung, Dr. Baiba Grube, Dr. Tish Knobf, Dr. Donald Lannin, and Dr. Liane Philpotts, a panel discussion will be led by Dr. Lyndsay Harris, Director of the Yale Cancer Center Breast Cancer Program.
Y-ME of Connecticut is a breast cancer support organization whose mission is to ensure that no woman faces breast cancer alone. They offer local support groups and a 24-hour phone line for women who have questions or need help coping with their diagnosis of breast cancer.
