New Haven, Conn. - Yale – New Haven Hospital and Yale Cancer Center, along with The Wellness Community of Southern Connecticut, present a free discussion for the public, Frankly Speaking about Lung Cancer, on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. – noon in the Anlyan Center at 300 Cedar Street in New Haven. The event will be led by a multidisciplinary team of experts who will present the latest information on the impact of new technology and emerging knowledge on lung cancer prevention, screening, detection and treatment.
Presentations will be made by members of the Yale Cancer Center Thoracic Oncology Program and will address topics such as Determining Risk Factors, Individualizing Therapy for Lung Cancer, and New Horizons in Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment. The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion led by Dr. Lynn Tanoue, Co-Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program and a Professor of Pulmonary Medicine. Panelists will include Dr. Daniel Boffa, Dr. Anne Curtis, Dr. Roy Decker, Dr. Scott Gettinger, Dr. Nita Maihle, and Kathleen McCarty.
