Lyndsay Harris to Co-Lead Genetics and Genomics Program with Frank Slack I am please so announce that Lyndsay Harris will co-direct the Yale Cancer Center Genetics and Genomics Research Program , along with Frank Slack.
Lyndsay's leadership and clinical research experience will be an asset to the program as we continue to strengthen our inter- and intra-programmatic research efforts. She has made crucial contributions to our understanding of the biology and treatment of breast cancer, which continue to positively impact the care of our patients.
Closer to Free Two new Smilow Cancer Hospital Closer to Free television commercials are now in rotation on all Connecticut network television stations, as well as certain cable stations across the state.

Notables The Molecular Virology and Cancer Immunology Research Programs recently held a joint retreat in the Anlyan Center to highlight current research projects within the programs and to focus on collaborations between laboratories. Funding Opportunities Brozman Foundation Fellowship The Brozman Foundation will provide a Yale faculty member with funding to support/recruit a post-doctoral fellow to conduct research in ovarian cancer early detection and/or ovarian cancer prevention under the guidance of the Yale faculty member. This is a wonderful opportunity for faculty conducting research in ovarian cancer detection and/or prevention to further their work while training the next generation of researchers. The Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program A program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program is now accepting applications for four-year postdoctoral research awards. These awards are available to physicians from historically disadvantaged backgrounds (ethnic, financial or educational) who are committed to pursuing careers in academic medicine, as well as to serving as role models for students and faculty of similar backgrounds. During the 2011 grant cycle, the program will offer up to eight four-year research awards in biomedical research, clinical investigation, and health services research and epidemiology. Scholars will receive an annual stipend of up to $75,000 each and a $30,000 annual grant to support research activities. Application Deadline: March 16, 2011
