Biographical Info

Harris Foster, M.D., Professor of Urology and Director of Female Urology and Neurourology, earned his medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his residency in general surgery and his residency in urology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Dr. Foster is Board Certified in Urology.
He is highly experienced in treating patients with complex urologic disorders that are considered difficult-to-manage cases, including patients with co-morbidities and patients with spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, or other neurological impairments. He is passionate about working with patients in rehabilitation and is a consultant to two of the area’s major rehabilitation facilities.
Dr. Foster is committed to helping patients with female urology conditions; urodynamics; neurogenic bladder and incontinence; voiding dysfunction; benign prostatic hyperplasia; renal cancer; bladder cancer; kidney cancer; testicular and penile cancer; prostate cancer; and spina bifida.
His research interests include interstitial cystitis, neurogenic bladder and the complications in the spinal cord injury population, and urinary incontinence and management. He has chaired national clinical trials by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
