This study will test the hypothesis that epigenetic alterations in DNA accumulate more rapidly in the breast during the lifetime of women who are at increased risk for breast cancer compared to those who are at average risk. The objective is to compare the type and rate of epigenetic changes that accumulate in the breasts and/or blood of a cohort of women at increased risk of breast cancer with a cohort of age-matched women at average risk.
