Stacey Stein, MD joins Yale Cancer Center

New Haven, Conn. —Dr. Thomas Lynch, Jr., MD, Director of Yale Cancer Center, has appointed Stacey Stein, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Medical Oncology at Yale Cancer Center, effective October 1, 2010.

“Stacey’s focus on developing new clinical trials for patients with gastrointestinal cancers will provide new treatment options for our patients. We look forward to welcoming her to Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale–New Haven in October,” Lynch said.

Dr. Stein will be an active member of the Gastrointestinal Cancers Program and a participating member in Yale Cancer Center Developmental Therapeutics Research Program. Before joining Yale Cancer Center, Dr. Stein was the Chief Fellow in Hematology/Oncology at New York University Medical Center.

A graduate of Rutgers University, Dr. Stein received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at New York University Medical Center.
