Earlier this month, the Yale University Police Department held their annual Battle of the Badges Bench Press Competition to raise money for breast cancer research at Smilow Cancer Hospital. A total of 18 teams participated, including representatives from New Haven Police, Orange Police, Bridgeport Police, Stratford Fire and the South Central SWAT. Competitors, in teams of three, must complete a maximum number of repetitions within a certain time, with the number of repetitions based on body weight.
Members of Yale University Police and the Connecticut State Police, presented a check for $1,335 to Eileen Forkin-Hansen, Administrative Manager for Women’s Oncology Services at Smilow Cancer Hospital. All proceeds go to benefit breast cancer research at Smilow Cancer Hospital.
