Biography
Dr. James Laird is an Assistant Professor of Therapeutic Radiology and sees patients at Smilow Cancer Hospital in Waterford. Dr. Laird received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society and named the highest performing student in the preclinical curriculum. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Yale, and served as the Chief Resident for the 2022-2023 academic year.
Dr. Laird's clinical practice includes treatment of thoracic, head and neck, gastrointestinal, skin, and gynecologic malignancies. His current research interests include the role of local treatments in oligometastatic cancer.
