Roy S. Herbst, MD, PhD, was presented with an award of appreciation by the SWOG Cancer Research Network for his passion, commitment, leadership, and enduring dedicated service to the ground-breaking Lung-MAP protocol. The award was given at a commemorative dinner during the SWOG Annual Meeting.
Lung-MAP (SWOG S1400) launched in 2014 and is an NCI public-private partnership National Clinical Trials Network program led by founding and principal investigator Dr. Roy S. Herbst. It is a multi-drug, multi-sub-study, biomarker-driven squamous cell lung cancer clinical trial that uses state-of-the-art genomic profiling to match patients to sub-studies testing investigational treatments that may target the mutations found to be driving the growth of their cancer.
