Peter Dottino, MD, FACOG, is a Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and cares for patients as part of the Gynecologic Oncology Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital in New Haven and Greenwich. A nationally and internationally recognized expert in operative laparoscopy and complex surgical procedures, his expertise in the management of patients with ovarian, endometrial, and related gynecologic diseases is renowned. Dr. Dottino joined Yale from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he was co-Director of the Gynecologic Cancer Translational Research Program. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a fellowship in Gyn/Onc at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Dottino has published numerous articles and chapters in medical journals and textbooks and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in OB/ GYN and Gynecologic Oncology and is an active member in numerous professional societies and organizations. He is co-Founder of MDDx- Diagnostic Biomarker Research Company which focuses on research in developing diagnostic and screening tools for gynecologic cancers.
