Biography
Dr. Joseph Misdraji is Associate Professor of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine and Associate Pathologist at Yale New Haven Hospital. He trained at Massachusetts General Hospital where he completed AP/CP training and fellowship training in cytopathology. For over 20 years, he was on the staff at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he signed out GI and cytology. During his tenure there, he was co-director and director of Gastrointestinal Pathology, and was director of Histopathology Operations for several years. He currently signs out gastrointestinal and hepatic pathology, and cytology, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Misdraji has published papers and book chapters in a wide range of GI and hepatic pathology topics. He is known internationally for his work in appendiceal neoplasia and was the author of the recent WHO chapters on appendix. He has lectured both nationally and internationally on gastrointestinal pathology and hepatic pathology, including at the USCAP. He is a section editor for liver pathology for the Archives of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
