  • 02:31The cores that you will be working
  • 02:33with will probably give you a
  • 02:36link to their I love site.
  • 02:37This link will take you directly
  • 02:40to their external landing page,
  • 02:41which is what I have shown on my screen now.

  • 03:16my eye lab credentials,
  • 03:18so I'm going to put in my credentials here.
  • 03:27Once, once I am signed into the core,
  • 03:31you will automatically be brought
  • 03:34to the about our core tab.
  • 03:37This tab is a replica of the external
  • 03:41landing page I was previously on at the
  • 03:46bottom of the about tab you will see a
  • 03:50table of a list of Contacts for this core.
  • 03:54Now let's navigate to the Schedule
  • 03:57Equipment tab at the top here.
  • 04:00Not every core will have
  • 04:02the schedule equipment tab,
  • 04:04but when you are looking to make a
  • 04:07reservation on a piece of equipment,
  • 04:10you will navigate here to
  • 04:12this schedule equipment tab.
  • 04:14Where you will find a list of all the
  • 04:17pieces of equipment this core offers.
  • 04:20Some course do designate between
  • 04:22trained and untrained users,
  • 04:24so if you have been trained on a piece
  • 04:27of equipment then typically that
  • 04:29allows you to have increased access
  • 04:32to schedule on a piece of equipment.
  • 04:35You will click the view schedule
  • 04:37to the right of that equipment.

  • 04:50down just a bit here.
  • 04:52And that there is a red line.
  • 04:55This will indicate to
  • 04:56the current day and time.
  • 04:58You will not be able to make
  • 05:00a reservation for a past time.
  • 05:02It must be done in the future.
  • 05:05Some cores may have restrictions
  • 05:06on how soon in advance you can
  • 05:09make a reservation and the minimum
  • 05:11time that you can schedule for
  • 05:13for demonstration purposes.
  • 05:14Today, let's look at next week,
  • 05:16so I'm going to click this little
  • 05:19arrow here to the right to take
  • 05:22me to the following week.
  • 05:24Now to make a reservation you will
  • 05:27simply find a an empty reservation
  • 05:30slot an you will click and drag
  • 05:33on the time that you are wanting
  • 05:36to make your reservation for.
  • 05:38Once you release,
  • 05:40you will be brought to this
  • 05:44reservation details page on this page
  • 05:47you can adjust the time and day by
  • 05:51clicking this little yellow pencil.
  • 05:55You can attach notes in this
  • 05:58event notes section.
  • 06:00You can also see the use and
  • 06:03cost of the reservation.
  • 06:05This will be different across all cores,
  • 06:09but for example for today we have
  • 06:12this SC in underscore 0 usage
  • 06:15type and if there are additional
  • 06:18availabilities you can click on
  • 06:21pricing details an in the drop down
  • 06:24you will see the availabilities available.
  • 06:28Next you will choose the payment information
  • 06:32and so here is where I can select from.
  • 06:37The charges API has granted
  • 06:39me I'm going to choose the PS
  • 06:43charge information and then.
  • 06:46Before you save,
  • 06:47you will want to make sure that at the
  • 06:51top here the top area to the right,
  • 06:54that there is not a form where I where
  • 06:57there would be required information
  • 07:00that the core is needing you to fill out.
  • 07:04At this point you can then on
  • 07:06the left hand side you can click
  • 07:09save reservation and that will
  • 07:10save that reservation.
  • 07:12OK, you can see that my
  • 07:14reservation is now listed here.
  • 07:16If you hover over you can look
  • 07:18at the details of that event.
  • 07:20Also over on the right hand corner
  • 07:23there is a calendar details button.
  • 07:25If you click here,
  • 07:27this will give you a legend on what
  • 07:30the colors mean so you can see that.
  • 07:33The the green color will let you
  • 07:35know that that is your events.
  • 07:38OK.
  • 07:38Now to navigate away from
  • 07:41the calendar interface,
  • 07:43you're going to click on
  • 07:45the top right hand corner,
  • 07:47the core name,
  • 07:49and that will take you back to
  • 07:52your main schedule equipment tab.
  • 07:55K so now I'd like to talk about the
  • 07:58Request Services tab at the top here.
  • 08:01If you have a core that accepts
  • 08:04projects or requests from users,
  • 08:06this is where you will go to
  • 08:09make that request.
  • 08:10Chorus will have a number of
  • 08:12different requests and some may have
  • 08:15descriptions with those requests,
  • 08:17so you can see in our example here.
  • 08:20Some cores will also have a priceless
  • 08:23below and that this is going to
  • 08:26show you the individual services
  • 08:28that are offered with the price
  • 08:30and you can expand those out.
  • 08:33Can see those prices here.
  • 08:37Now, if you would like to
  • 08:40make a request on a project,
  • 08:43you will select the request.
  • 08:46Um request service button next
  • 08:48to the appropriate requests.
  • 08:50So I'm going to choose this
  • 08:52DNA sequencing request.
  • 08:57And you'll see that once we're inside
  • 09:01the request that this is going to vary
  • 09:05across different cores that you work with.
  • 09:09The requests may include a form,
  • 09:12and in this case we don't have
  • 09:17one for today. But you can.
  • 09:21Some cores may already have, you know,
  • 09:25services attached to the individual requests.
  • 09:29You will see that there is a
  • 09:33payment information section and
  • 09:35this is where you can choose.
  • 09:38The The Fund information for
  • 09:40this request an at the bottom.
  • 09:43Here you will select select
  • 09:46these subquest decor.
  • 09:51Um? You can see that it will then
  • 09:55take you to a view my request tab.
  • 09:58This tab is a queue of all the requests
  • 10:01that you have that you have submitted with
  • 10:03the core and the status of those requests.
  • 10:06You can view the details of each
  • 10:09request by clicking on the blue toggle.
  • 10:12To the left of next to the date and time.
  • 10:16If you have any questions
  • 10:19or comments for the core,
  • 10:21you can select the add comment
  • 10:24button in the details of the request.
  • 10:27Whenever you do leave a comment,
  • 10:29it is then attached to this request in
  • 10:33the core will also be able to reply to you
  • 10:37with a running list of the communication.
  • 10:41The only Tom.
  • 10:43That you will have to take action is.
  • 10:48If the core adds a number of services
  • 10:51and send it to you for you to approve.
  • 10:54Um?
  • 10:54Those two statuses would be
  • 10:58waiting for researcher approval or
  • 11:01waiting for researcher to agree.
  • 11:04Are there any questions on
  • 11:06this view my request tab? OK.
  • 11:09Lastly is the contact us tab.
  • 11:12If you have any questions for the core
  • 11:15you can go here and submit your questions.
