The Yale Cancer Center Public Affairs and Communications Office has received a 2023 Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards in recognition of Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital’s weekly radio show, Yale Cancer Answers. Yale Cancer Answers is hosted by Anees Chagpar, MD, MBA, MPH, FACS, FRCS(C), Professor of Surgery (Oncology, Breast), and is currently in its 18th year on air.
Yale Cancer Answers airs every Sunday on Connecticut Public Radio at 7:30PM and provides the most up-to-date information on cancer screening, detection, treatment, and prevention. The Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. The awards are judged and curated by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). This year, the 29th Annual Communicator Awards, received around 3,000 entries.
