Yale Psychiatrists Present at International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions Virtual Congress

Four Yale Department of Psychiatry faculty presented at the International Association for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions Virtual Congress in Singapore on December 2-4, 2020.

The symposium, chaired by Timothy Van Deusen, MD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry, was titled “The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist’s Expertise in Development is Key to Treating Adolescents and Young Adults with Serious Mental Illness.”

Other speakers from Yale included Cynthia Wilson, MD; Hyun Jung Kim, MD; and Zheala Qayyum, MD.

The presentations covered a variety of serious health issues facing adolescents and transitional age youth (ages 13-25) including early psychosis, depression, co-morbid medical conditions, and issues experienced by LGBTQ+ youth.
